Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

Service

Token Limits is a software tool that compresses context in AI coding sessions. It works with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, JetBrains, and other MCP-compatible tools via the Anthropic API or the Model Context Protocol. By using Token Limits, you agree to these terms.

Account

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and license key. Do not share your license key with others. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

License

A paid subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use Token Limits on the number of machines specified by your plan. Each license is for a single user. All intellectual property in the Token Limits software, including source code, binaries, documentation, and branding, remains the property of Token Limits. Your subscription grants a right to use the software, not ownership of it. You retain full ownership of your data, source code, and any content processed by Token Limits.

Payments and Refunds

Subscriptions are $5/month billed through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account page - cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. All sales are final. We do not offer refunds except as required by applicable law.

Acceptable Use

You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell Token Limits. You may not use the service to violate any applicable laws or Anthropic's terms of service. You may not attempt to circumvent license restrictions, share license keys, or use automated means to create multiple accounts.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account for a terms violation, no refund is provided for any remaining subscription period. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused prepaid fees. You may delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected].

Third-Party Dependencies

Token Limits depends on the Anthropic API and the Model Context Protocol. Changes to these third-party services, including API changes, pricing changes, or service discontinuation, may affect Token Limits functionality. We are not responsible for disruptions caused by third-party service changes. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. If the local proxy or MCP server is unavailable, your AI tools continue to work normally without compression.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Token Limits is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that compression will achieve any particular level of token savings.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruption. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Token Limits, its officers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
